Part 1: Tempo Run

What is a Tempo Run?
Tempo runs are a mental and physical challenge. These runs get you pushing your pace and sustaining it for a longer distance. This is where you can challenge yourself to sustain your goal race pace or go slightly faster. These runs won’t be as far as the long runs you do each week but they will build your aerobic fitness and endurance.
Tempo Run:
- 5 minute warm-up (pace 2-3)
- 0.6 miles (1 km), pace 4
- 2 miles (3.2 km), pace 6
- 5 minute cool-down (pace 2-3)
Part 2: Core Strength
Do 3 rounds with 30 Seconds rest after each round
Tabletop Core Hold
2 x 30 seconds
Tabletop Leg Lowers
8 reps each side
Knee Side Plank with Hip Lift
8 reps each side
Plank with Knee Taps
2 x 30 seconds
